LGA led the LGT deal team through due diligence to estimate market size, identify
risks, develop a financial model, and prepare investment committee recommendations for an investment in an
8,000-student online university focused on Africa
Like many universities, KCA experienced some growing pains transitioning from a small college to a full-fledged chartered university. We helped retrain KCA's finance team to deal with liquidity issues that arose and served as their advisor when they successfully applied for and obtained additional debt facilities.
LGA's founder served as an executive at Maarifa Education for four years; first leading multiple due diligences and the execution of the two resulting acquisitions, and later focussing on streamlining operations, improving product quality, and innovating new products.
LGAs Founder led due diligence on six institutions in five countries in East, West and Southern Africa for Emerging Capital Partners.
He then led the execution of two transanctions, one in Zambia, and one in Uganda, that resulted in the founding of Maarifa Education.
